Academic Rigour & Conceptual Mastery in MYP Mathematics
MYP 4 & 5 Standard Mathematics builds strong conceptual understanding and practical problem-solving skills within the IB Middle Years Programme. The course develops fluency in algebra, functions, geometry, trigonometry, statistics, and probability, with emphasis on real-world application and clear mathematical communication. It prepares students for a smooth transition into IB Diploma Mathematics (AA SL or AI SL) while maintaining academic rigour aligned with IB standards.
Assessment is structured around the four IB criteria—Knowing & Understanding, Investigating Patterns, Communicating, and Applying Mathematics in Real-Life Contexts—through criterion-based tests, investigations, and exam-style assessments.
